Updating blackberry firmware
EDIT: Just noticed you only used the 9700 as an example. I downloaded the latest proper release of OS6 today and updated my Telstra Sim 9700.
I originally bought it from Mobicity so it's At&T branded. I haven't had any problems with updating the firmware while connected to the net.
The Gmail calendar will now work better on Black Berry 10 and improvements have been made to Black Berry Hub in the way calls are logged and conversations handled.
In addition, the way contacts are imported from online sources has been changed.
With video playback, the Black Berry Z10's 8 hours and 44 minutes of battery life was roughly 90 minutes short of the Apple i Phone 5 and half the time of the top ranked Motorola RAZR MAXX.

It's awesome and works with no issues, really impressed with the OS6 software, first time I have used it in the flesh. Also remember to make sure you are not connected to the net before you do all this as it won't update. I also turned off my mobile connections before syncing just in case. Had to send it away for repair (would reboot itself randomly a few times a day) I asked in shop if I would need to roll it back to the Telstra release (took it to the Fonezone store I got it from). 2 weeks later my phone was back, Replaced with a brand new one. Edit: Spelling I am using os 220.127.116.116 Can that make my blackberry a wifi hotspot that other devices can connect to?
When Im out and about I notice that there are a lot of wifi hot spots that are blackberry 9700 ssid?
